Your Story Is Sacred

Hello, I’m Kimberly (she/her). I’m a certified spiritual director. I help women of color notice the divine in the everyday.

What Is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is an ancient practice of witnessing—witnessing the Spirit, your relationship with the Spirit, and your most sacred self.

Through conversation, silence, and reflection, you’re invited to slow down and attune to where the Divine is moving in your life, with the support of a spiritual companion.

Together, we’ll create sacred space to notice your joys, longings, and questions just below the surface and recognize the way Creator is present in the seemingly ordinary moments of your life.

About Me

The Roots

I’m the daughter of Geraldine and the granddaughter of Alberta and Mollie, women who found God in the pews of Black churches on Sunday mornings. The roots of my faith grow from the traditions of my foremothers and their ancestral wisdom.

My faith became my own while singing in gospel choirs and participating in praise dance, practices that invited the Spirit to literally move in my body—in song and dance—and awaken a connection that transcends words.

My most meaningful encounters with the Creator in this season are in nature, where the simple smell of a lilac or the waning moon can testify to the Spirit that shapes us all. And where the God who is alive in our senses, proves Herself to be alive within us.

The Branches

I believe in a God as expansive as the cosmos, far too big to be contained in a single book. I believe in a God who wants to be experienced, in our bodies, as an ever-present love that accompanies us. We simply need to notice.

I believe a good question holds countless gifts, even before we have an answer. That’s why I love the practice of spiritual direction and how it invites us to hold mystery, in community, and let it shape us.

Outside of spiritual direction sessions, you might find me facilitating Wild Church gatherings or volunteering as a chaplain for the WBNA. (Go Storm!)
